    L322 Battery Drain (Interior Alarm)

Maybe a daft question but, is your alarm sounder working ? If not the alarm going off could be draining your battery. Can you beg, borrow or steel a interior sensor and swap it to see if your problem goes away ?

    L322 Good Bye P38 Rangie

Thanks for your reply Gold rover. When I say gutless, the general view seems to be that they accelerate quite slowly and are a bit short on torque. I don't know personally because I have never driven one. I only drove a 4.4 TDV8 and that bugger flies.

    Electrical Failure

It must be something to do with the battery internals but, so unusual to be intermittent. Normally if a battery fails it remains failed !!! Thanks for the info on the receiver, I thought the blue spot was the latest.....oh well more money.

Update.... Well, it's been a week since I disconnected the RF antenna so , I tried starting the car and away it went,no more flat battery. The new fuse box arrived Thursday and I have fitted it today. Time will tell if it was the cause of my electrics failure or not, but I do hope it was.

    Electrical Failure

Hi all, Not much to update you on....been ill since the New Year and unable to do anything to the Rangie, apart from charge up the battery and then left it for 2 days. Yep, totally flat again. Definately suspecting the Alternator. Once well enough I will continue the investigations.

    Electrical Failure

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the delay but, been away for Christmas. While the Rangie has been standing the battery has gone flat so not sure if it's the battery or the Alternator draining it. Will try and look at it tomorrow and let you know what I find. Happy New Year to you all :-)
