No sorry, never mentioned mines a 5 door. We have had some torrential rain over here just lately and it's bloody annoying evertime you get things from the boot. I think it is definately coming in from the top because the head lining is wet for about 2" all along the roof over the rear door...

    Offside Headlight

Cheer sparkyjohn5 will try that tonight. I thought it may be a bad earth as the bloody thing worked over the weekend and has now decided to go dim again. Took the plastic cover off the back of the light just to check the headlamp conection and left it on the engine while I was doing this...

    Offside Headlight

Hi all, hoping for some advice from you knowledgable peeps. (but keep it clean) The other night I noticed that the offside headlight was dimmer than the nearside headlight, this morning the offside light was out completely. The side light still works fine. So I thought it was the bulb which had...

    Dirty Grey Plastic

Must agree with the above. I use the Autoglym as well, very impressed with the results and lasts for around 2/3 months a time.:) The one problem I found out here is, it is very dusty and very hot and I find it seems to melt the stuff (can't think of another way to describe it) so if you brush...

The Dreaded Head Gasket Issue Newbie

The thing is, out here the temp is very hot as you would imagine. Through the day the temp can get to around late 30,s degrees, so my engine coolant never really cools down. I am up to full operating temprature within 2 minutes literally, same in the morning when I leave the garage it is up to...

The Dreaded Head Gasket Issue Newbie

I fitted the remote thermostat to mine and it was 64 sterling from LR dealership. Cheaper than I expected. That was for the remote thermo and kit, not the head gasket, think that was around the same mark without the oil rails.

    Alarm interior sensors

Hi can anyone tell me where the interior sensors are for the alarm system on a 2000 Freelander please? I did not think I had any in the car, but when something fell from the dashboard the alarms went off.

    Tempratures Rising

Cheers MHM, I would have thought that the fan should have switched on itself to cool things down a bit though???? I will have to get the sensor checked as well. Will leave it ticking over to see if fan kicks in first, then if not to local Landie garage for proper testing.

    Tempratures Rising

Hi all, had the Freelander for just over 3 weeks now and everything has been fine. Yesterday on my way home I got caught in a traffic jam, not a big one mind, never the less it was around 10 minutes. During this time the temprature gauge suddenly started rising and I mean suddenly. The...

    Squeeling Brakes

You can buy Anti squeel shims from most good motoring shops. They are very slim peices of sheet metal cut the same shape as your break pad and fit between the pad and the piston. Had the same problem, fitted the Anti squeel shims and now nothing. cost around the £4 mark.

    Bull Bar wanted.??

I thought the A bars and bull bars were now ilegal in UK, unless they were fitted before May 2007. Any new vehicle after May 2007 will not have A bars or bull bars fitted. I may be wrong, but thats what I have been told, although you are allowed the freelander OE as the absorb the impact.

    Head light problem

Hi can anyone help please? While driving I noticed that the nearside head light was what can be descrbed as wobbling. When I checked the light the inside reflector has fallen into the light casing, if that makes sense. It no longer adjusts electrically and is now lighting up just in front on my...
