    p38 dse , revving uncontrollably, black smokey exhaust

    P38 diesel, engine died on motorway. Got recovered. Garage said when they managed to start it, engine revved uncontrollably. Believed it to be governor on diesel pump. Changed, same thing, no change. Now suspected head gasket or injectors, any really know what it could be ??
