I have a 97 Disco 300TDI Should I be bale to open the door with just the key and not set the alarm off? Can I lock it with the key? (as you can imagine, neither options is working out for me right now!) I do have a key and fob, but my wife lsot the others, and we sometime "swap" cars...

Well thanks all, I found a loose wire hanging around the back of my alternator! That's that fixed. My lock sort of goes up, sort of goes down with the Central locking. Pull it up and it's fine, sometimes it will go up/down with cl, but not always.

I've had my Disco for about 3 weeks now, and finally something has broken! The rev counter no longer works, not a major issue, but I'd like to fix it anyway. Any ideas what/where to start looking? Also, one of the rear door locks doesn't go up/down every time. Any ideas on that one...

get on compare the meerkats or something and punch in the numbers, "pretend" you own a variety of Landy's you'd like to own, get some genuine quotes. :) then you'll know for sure. SIMPLES. :)

I'd just get the standard battery (072 - 70Ah 550CCA?????) with a 3-5 year warranty, and keep the receipt!!!!!. No need to break the bank on an Optima Yellow/Red top (unless you're running a big ICE/Neon/gaming system or something off your Landy? :)) By all means go for a bigger battery...
