SORTED - happy days. It transpires there was a break in a wire in the door harness. reapired and now all okay. No messing about with regulator or re-newing cales, thank god! Thanks for the contributions made. Chuffy

Swapped drivers and passenger switches this lunchtime, still the same problem - dead on drivers side! As you say, that rules out the switch I guess. Is the motor asm, seperate to the cable and guide assy etc or is it all one unit?

Thanks Teddy, Still not had time to remove door card, but tried the switch again this morning and the window moved up about an inch and then the switch went dead again! Chuffy
