    Thanks @mystery Pulled a few relays, 2 clicking on starter ign position, dont look burnt. Swapped round and cleaned contacts, no change. Mine is the es model, so a bank of AC relays too. Turning out to be quite the headache, may just fit a starter button! Will settle for getting mirrors working...

    Hi Alt was boiling the battery, so disconned it... Ooops... and volts shot up beyond meter scale, blew every light and god knows what else. Limped the rest of the 700miles off battery from the caravan on jumps thru window and fly wires to run solenoid and similar to starter. No glow plugs or...

    p-gasket renewal how-to

    Oh for f's sake... put in new pulleys and did the pee job whilst at it. Smugly starting the lump up without the shrieking budgie was very cool.. till I noticed the pee gasket flooding coolant all over the place. I cleaned and fussed and was really well behaved, using one of those metal (!??!)...
