All sorted, 2 problems an earth had jiggled loose and the voltage stabaliser was also faulty. Thanks for the help guys.

No not really the connecting rod from skew drive to pump. I've notched the master spline on the bottom half so now it can sit in any spline.

Cut the master spline on the fuel pump connecting pice moved it round 1 spline and timed up perfect.

I've sorted the problem now. It fires up first turn of key without heat and drives faultless. Thanks for all the help guys

How did you manage to sort the fuel pump timing if you don't mind me asking

I timed engine at ep got perfect peak of cam for chain. Then moved to 13 degrees btdc to get pump timing. There is no advance left when the pump is timed it will start and run just no power and long time to start

The pump and injectors were done by local company Breedon and gell . The glow plugs are new and all working. I checked cam timing on the ep on flywheel and used dti guage to get the peak on the cam. The scew gear measures 20 degrees perfect until I pull it up to put in the grub screw and throws...

Guys I'm having a real issue with my series 3. I've baught it with a recent rebuilt engine re con fuel pump and re con injectors. It struggles to start and has absolutely no power. I've checked the cam timing and it's perfect. Checked and corrected the scew gear now sitting at 20 degrees at 13...

Hey guys heres one for the electrical minded, today whilst out in my 95 300tdi the right hand indicator started to flash fast as it there was a bulb off, so i stopped and checked it and all 3 bulbs on the o/s were working but flashing fast? The n/s works fine and so do the hazards. Any ideas?

Hi yes it looks just like that. And it is stopping from selecting high and low.

hi i have a problem with the diff lock on my 1995 300tdi auto, The lever is free and i have stripped it down the fault seems to be with the solanoid on the top of the transfere case not powering up. Am i doing something wrong?
