    key fob central locking

Could it be that the previous owner just disconnected the car's receiver or its aerial? The reason I ask is that I had the dreaded "draining battery overnight" problem. And being a cheap skate thought £150 for a new receiver a bit steep. So I just disconnected the aerial. - The fob works...

    Windows/sunroof not set

As above say. On my P38 you need to tilt the sunroof to clear the message rather than fully open the roof. You will need to enter your radio code too if you did not know already that is.

P38 Auto: road speed vs gear change up/down

Thanks Dorset VogueSE, I will look at the MAF while I'm at it... slob: Ok, Gearbox oil change may be in order... I like to keep the engine oil up to scratch so looks like a good grovel under the landie coming up! All I need now is some dry and preferably warmer weather... Canyon: Mines got...

P38 Auto: road speed vs gear change up/down

Nope! - I was going to mention that but kept it out as I type too much anyway! But thanks for asking. I have checked that its not stuck in "Sport" mode by comparing status when changing gear. -It did not seem to matter when not thrashing the old bird..... Well Canyon, as they say up home "...

P38 Auto: road speed vs gear change up/down

Hi folks. Good to see the forum thriving. And despite G.Brown (fuel tax) and green anti 4*4 lobbyists we have not been driven off the road or burnt at the stake... My RR ( a 2000 p38 vogue 4.6 auto) seems to have decided only to change up to fourth until at least 50mph. I did do a search but...

    Dreaded book symbol!

I had to have the a/c radiator replaced. Apparently its a common fault. Take a look at the top of the ac grill where the welds are. At the left and right hand ends- top of the matrix header.- You need to take of the plastic front grill first to get a good luch of course. But that's two minute...

    Help! ENGINE IMMOBILISED

Thanks for that Adamforeman. Its a shame that the manufacturer of such 'quality' vehicles has (had) to reluctantly admit to such faults. You'd think they would want to be proactive, and get the confidence of owners. Not perhaps to do a call back to replace, but just a "heads up" to people to...
