Best way to remove a stuck nut

Thanks all for the advice, i used a combination of all of those - from nut splitters, angle grinders, cold chisel, sodding big lump hammer. I've also bought new bits and SS nuts and bolts to replace them all with. Thanks again.

Best way to remove a stuck nut

The nuts are rounded and awkward to get to. In general would a dremel be more use than one of those oscillating tools? I think I need to buy something to help cut the nut but can't work out which would be most use in general. Any thoughts?

Best way to remove a stuck nut

I'm doing a few jobs on the 90, all of them 1 or 2 spanner job according to the Haynes manual. However, as usual I'm stopped because I can't undo a bolt or a nut or a screw or something. It occurred to me that I have got some household mains cable (3 core, 13a) and I can pick up a toggle switch for next to nothing - I may even have a...

Auxilary switches in ashtray space of 300tdi?

Thanks that looks great, except for the price, if it were more permanent then the price would be ok. Basically the 90 is providing support for a 24 hour bike ride, so has a yellow beacon light and a set of spots on loan for the weekend. I just need to wire them in as simply as possible, and I...

Auxilary switches in ashtray space of 300tdi?

I'm looking to add a set of spots and a flashing orange beacon to my defender for a weekend event. I want to add a couple of switches and am trying to work out the best way of doing this. I was wondering if I could make use of the space in the ashtray and whether there was a known kit that...
