just remember your fuel filter will probably need changing after approx 1 tank /500 miles and slowing increase your % until your happy.i'm currently running a 80/20 mix and whilst its reasonably warm especially at night take advantage.

just wandering how you freelander xedi guys are getting on using the veg mix,might have a change from my discovery 300tdi over to a freelander.mine runs no problems on a 80/20 mix but its little slow and would like something a bit more quicker!!

asda now have 1litre bottles of vegetable oil and sunflower oil for 72p ....if you can hold of any....mine has done 1000miles now no problems just changed fuel filter after 600 miles and keep checking your pump for any leaks..

Hi whilst the weather is nice and warm with warmish nights use any new oil ie vegetable,sunflower,rapeseed even ktc soya based..(as a last resort).just stick it straight in the tank(not if you own a td5 or newer version)and reap the rewards...just check you fuel pump for leaks...once a week and...

As i'm running on a 75/25 veg oil /diesel mix noticed last couple of days i'm finding it harder to start 1st thing in the morning.a longer turnover is needed for it to start.once running its fine.Without going into twin-tank's etc or expensive alternates Should i now be thinking of added a bit...

hi all now 500 miles since started putting veggie in my 300tdi on a 50/50 but about to up the anti's a bit...no fuel filter change needed yet and honestly seems to run smoother .But for piece of mind i might give it a oil/fuel/filter change.doing 28 mpg.

currently done 450miles on a 50/50 mix without no problems but you take you chance!!

well i've done 325miles since putting the veg in on my 300tdi.now running on 50/50 mix no problems,roughly when could i expect the vehicle to show signs of filter blocking as i would of thought there should be signs now.!

mine's a 1997p reg and the mileage is 163,000 and loves a bit of veg!!

i've just brought my 1st disco a 300tdi 5 speed 163t 6mths mot and tax,some service history better than average condition for £975 if that helps but do check underneath for leaks as mine has one nearc the transfer box!!

As ive just brought a 300tdi,parked at work just noticed its first oil leak.i'm no mechanic and its coming from half way back beyond the gearbox but before the rear axle from a round circular horizonal drum part about 10 inch big.any thoughts to you professionals!!please be kind.

Hi all 1st post.after buying my 1st discovery 300tdi last week,decided to go down the old veggie route.so today i've put my 1st 7.5litres of KTC's finest in on 1/4tank full and will top up with 15 litres of diesel tomorrow to give roughly a 66/33 mix and will let you all know how i get on later.
