    Metallic green disco wanted

We buy them in to break them, even the £400 worth of rotten Disco's can bring back a K or more in used parts, but some can take a while to sell as the demand is only really there for some parts. Depends if you have the space. What price would you want for it?

    Metallic green disco wanted

Well... My boss promised me the green one in exchange for my beloved freebie to be used as parts sales and since the crank seal blew on Sunday, I've been told (forced) to have a Disco now, no more repairs for my beaut :( However, I am sticking to my guns of having the metallic green I'm...

    Metallic green disco wanted

Since the death of my 50th anniversary Freelander, my boss has decided I'm to have a "proper" Land Rover  (he just no longer wants to fix my little beastie, so my fave car has to go to heaven :( or fleabay pffft) So.. I've agreed to have a disco, but my terms are that it must be the...

    98 di clutch/gear problems - help!!

Thanks guys, its the pushrod itself that doesn't look like its perfectly straight but i have had someone push the pedal and it all seems to be moving fine and as it should. I'll try that one, anything is worth a shot before i have to save £500 lol!

    98 di clutch/gear problems - help!!

The slave/mounting doesn't seem to be bent as such, possibly the push rod at a slight angle, but not sure it suggests that could be the problem. I've played about with it again today, pumping the pedal seems to help a little, not massively but slightly and also it will glide into every gear...

    98 di clutch/gear problems - help!!

sounds promising to me :p I think my dad's thinking i must not be able to press the pedal down far enough to engage the gears, but it seems easier on the higher up the gears i go, with 1st gear being the worst pest as it refuses point blank to go into 1st at times.

    98 di clutch/gear problems - help!!

best way to work, you could be right too!! I'm no mechanic, i'm just going by what i've been reading and advised. My dad thinks it's the clutch or slave cylinder as the bite is low, but i always thought a low bite meant it'd had a new clutch?

    98 di clutch/gear problems - help!!

Hey all, can't find an exact answer to my problem when i've searched the forums.. I've been having a problem getting my 98 diesel hippo into gear.. Its an intermittent problem that's got worse recently, sometimes it goes into gear no problem, other times (particularly 1st) its impossible to...

Could my freelander have been converted to 2WD?

Thanks guys, you've been really helpful, I'm off to have a nose around another one tomorrow, as you said its not worth spending the cash on one that could give me IRD troubles, so i've found another. But this advice will come in really handy for that too, as the girl selling this one seems to...

Could my freelander have been converted to 2WD?

It does Glynn, i just can't seem to find out how to tell if the IRD is gone before i buy. Is there anything physically that i could look out for? or is it just a noise i'm gonna be looking out for?

Could my freelander have been converted to 2WD?

yeah i lnow what you mean, i think the vcu was going on my last one as i heard the clunks in full lock. I'm just being cautious with this one, althoug the guy claims to be a mechanic and says its not the IRD that's gone, ya can't trust anyone that ain't family really. That's why i'm so eager...
