Hi Scrappyloz, thanx for your input but the pins is out and toothed pivot flipped correctly but there is no spring recoil on button as there should be and the larger spring clip the this photo was found down between the seat and the transmission tunnel and i think its our missing link but not...

Hi James, cheers for you reply but the button is not jammed but won't spring back and has to be pushed from behind as the is no spring. the clip i found down the side of the seat has come out but don't know how to fit it back. i have a picture but can't seem to attach it to this post

Hi Guys, i have had my handbrake lever apart on my disco 1 200 TDI to refit my center console and the button will not spring back and i have found a spring clip which i think is involved but cant work out how it refits
