    P38 2.5 diesel remap ?

Fellow LZ'rs, how much does a 2.5 diesel remap cost ? What stats are improved, 0-60, torque, mpg, emissions ("who cares") ...etc ? Where does one get a remap? Thanks ben :P

    2.5 diesel

Cheers guys your knowledge is awesome, was set on a v8 with LPG, but with the fuss of LPG stations and servicing and the usual greater reliability of diesel power-trains over LPG systems my mind is welcoming the diesel. I don't drive fast I just cruise tbf so Maybe I would find the 2.5 diesel to...

    2.5 diesel

Being rather naive I thought all old diesel engines were complete and utter rubbish and were stolen from 1950 tractors... Basically I haven't driven a RR 2.5 diesel, but seen someone parked a r reg p38 beside my house earlier, I could resist inspecting it !!! Always being eager to see whats...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

Cheers for the advice bobpm45, my mindset has changed about the cost of running the v8, I think the pleasure from the ownership is what makes the costs bearable. I spend a huge amount of time in my car basically and you only live once, make it count :D so it has to be a V8, something attractive...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

oh I see well maybe I'm just a lazy motorist who doesn't look after his motor by treating her to oil regularly :) Well I'm sure I shall own one even if its just for the pleasure of owning the vehicle, I possibly might keep my 206 for shorter runs and nipping around in to save on petrol and to...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

Thanks for all the advice and information. I now have a little knowledge on how to gauge if a RR has a sound engine. I've found out real life MPG off LPG fuel. Also I now know what LPG system to look out for ;) I can add these details to my RR 4.6 V8 LPG checklist Does a 2.5TD actually save...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

Well that seems really promosing!! obtaining 14.7MPG based on nonconservative driving and Having a substantial payload. I'm guessing if you was more conservative and was driving the car with little load and no passengers you could achieve nearer the mid to high teens :) I'm thinking in the...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

Really well that's good, I'm guessing it would be well worth buying an extended warranty, apparently the aa breakdown cover for around £20/month protects you against high garage costs of upto £500 for a maximum of 5 claims/year, there Is a £25 excess for each claim but it seems a worth while...

Is there any truth in LPG mpg claims ?

After signing up to the forum yesterday and riffling through threads, I have read some surprisingly reassuring threads related to v8 4.6 RR. People have made claims of getting 140/150 miles off £20 of LPG. That's better than my 1.4 206 pug manages on petrol !!! I have to put nearer £25 for that...
