    Dog Bits?

Well actually on this occasion yes. He threw up on the rubber boot liner/mat. Which was easy to wipe up apart from the where it leaked down by the metal D ring :( Stew

    Dog Bits?

A chap called Steve was advertising genuine parts on Fleebay but he also works in parts at W.W.Webber Land Rover in Basingstoke so I've just bought Genuine Side Steps, rubber mats plus boot mat, main dog guard as well as the back window dog guard from all for £400. I saved on postage as I...

Ming, Very valid point! I'm still in the 'lightweight, fibreglass and running over a beetle shatters your teeth' mind set. Stew

    Shocks/dampers on a Freelander.

I'm not a mechanic and so am probably wrong but surely pushing down with half your own body weight on one corner at a time has no comparison to 1800kg's shifting weight under hard baking? Meaning in reality it’s not a good test? Pop corn at the ready;) Stew

    Shocks/dampers on a Freelander.

Shocks and Dampers are constantly being battered and really should be better looked after than most of us do! The slightest failure in suspension affects the handling in every car it also puts extra stresses on parts that aren’t expecting it. More than likely his shocks have had it, he...

    Thanks landyzone

I agree! I joined to sponge the knowledge from those who have suffered the same problem as myself or those that have found easier ways to adjust tracking, change a wiper motor or even to ask for the best place to get insurance. The Lotus forum I use has saved me literally thousands of...

    Newbie Saying Hi

For those that are interested! After more diagnostics the fault was due to 'Fuel pressure sensor resistance being to high due to: Corrosion in plug.' Fix: 'Plug connectors cleaned and connects tightened.' Including recovery from my home to the garage (6 miles) the bill came to £210.33...

    Rivet Screws

That's quite steep, I was thinking of going for one of the aftermarket ones for around £130-60. I need to save the money as I also need a full dog guard, rubber boot liner, Rubber footwell mats and front/rear light protection. This is all getting very expensive! Cheers Stewart

Make one, blinkin'-eck! So a torque wrench or long handled spanner wont do the job? What's the difference between the tools? Stew

    Rivet Screws

I'm thinking about fitting side steps to the FL, if we ever get it back from the garage! However they all come with rivet screws, one chap can even provide the rivet spanner tool thingy for an extra £10. My question is do I need the rivet spanner thingy or can I use a normal torque wrench...
