    Discovery or Range Rover???

yeah, stick with a discovery, I've had bad experiences with a DSE rangie which had air suspension probs time and time again, it had only done 65K and was letting me down all the time, its gone now!! The v8 engines are generally ok in the P38 rangies but the 4.0 usually gives less trouble than...

    White smoke

In my experience with high performance turbo petrol motors, white or blue smoke when revving indicates knackard turbo oil seals. I assume this would be the same with a diesel motor because the oil would be introduced into the exhaust stream at the turbine in the turbo (after combusion). Any oil...

    What Landie to buy?

Depends really on how far your travelling, what your running cost budget is and what level of comfort you want. All three are supurb towing machines, but each would have a benefit over another in terms of comfort, running costs and engine options. It really is a compromise of these factors when...

    Tires and lift

Try not to go much past 4" of lift with suspension without modifying the steering geometry. It will cause serious wheel wobble on road and will scuff out tyres. I have 4" of suspension lift on my classic and its ok, but a friend of mine has the same lift on a 110 which wobbles about like hell...

    Cooking oil power!

Interesting stuff. As a farmer I'm well aware of Biofuels, I grow about 200 tons of Oil seed rape each year which goes for various food stuffs such as non-dairy spreads and for vegie fats, its a shame its not used for fuel. I think Bio fuels should be promoted more in this country and I like...

    Cooking oil power!

I'm sure engines with more complex ECU systems than the pug's would exibit problems (EG TD5/TD6). Have you any long term experiance with this? Do you think the heavier oil would leave damaging deposits over a long period of time??

    31/10.50/15's

Hi everyone. Was just wondering if I could rack people's brains (especially those with experiance of this matter!) about a little tyre problem. I have an '88 3.5 EFI RR with a +3" lift, I want to put 31/10.50/15 MT's on, but a friend of mine says this isnt possible without modifying the arches...
