    leaking sunroof fix

Thank you all for the advise, today it rained c&d's and both roofs remained watertight. So I guessed it was time well-spend and the best is I reckon I have saved a few quid. In due time I will replace the rubbers by Peugeot 106 rubbers, as I have read somewhere that these match the Disco's sunroof.

    leaking sunroof fix

Busy fixing both sunroofs. During heavy rain loads of water is leaking in the car, coming from behind the sunroofswitches. Took the headlining out and both sunroofs. Draintubes are very okay, so reckon it is either or both the kit or rubberseal under glass. Started applying new kitlayer. Used...

Coolant pump gasket and thermostat V8

Over days the car lost coolant - not much but still.... Today took some time to solve this problem. However didn't follow the workshop manual and just bled the system at the thermostathose and what came out when the pump was removed. The pump looked allright so I decided not to replace it for a...

    Anyone Tried Hammerite Paint?

Dunno about Hammerite, but am planning to coat the underbody with Motip Bitumen. This comes in spray (0,5 - 1 ltr) and in 2,5 litre buckets for use with brush. The bitumen stays flexible, is however not suited for overpainting. Kind of oldfashioned product therefore however proven.

    Airspring replaced

Like Urban stated, check for leaks - at the valveblock :) and only close the lid after you're satisfied with it. Still.......job done!

    Airspring replaced

Replacing both airsprings on the Disco2 took 1 hour. Following Urban Panzer's "manual" it is a piece of cake. Springs ordered at Chris McKnight's and toggled along like the "manual" advised. However on two issues I went my own way: First of all, every manual states that dirt in the airlines can...

Eco tuning for Discovery II V8

Thank you eightinavee for sharing your experience. And as for economics............. The point is that several tuners claim the gain, and others say it is impossible, and me being an unknowing, but curious consumer.........I was wondering. I have a car running on LPG: for economics :) , the...

Eco tuning for Discovery II V8

Being an ancient Landrover enthusiast, however but a first user I wonder if there is anyone within the LZ communinity who can advise me on the following: The "Lords of the Chips" have different opinions whether it is possible or not, to effectively reduce the fuel consumption by Eco-tuning. Some...

    Hallo iedereen

This is the Dutch way to say hello everyone. We live in Holland, bought our first Landrover: Discovery II 4.0 V8 Highlander. Mainly because we like to go hiking with our caravan, and the Disc seemed to be the best choice, by far. Hope to share our experience and learn of yours. Freek and L4A
