    Being a new freelander owner, 54 reg 1.8 with still a years warrenty, I read all the bad and all the good (which obviously is harder to find!) and in the end, what swayed me was that this vehicle suited us both in looks and functionality. I have never owned a car which had 100% reliability...

    Suction sounds like the way forward (ooerr!) I'm happy with my 1.8 - time will tell!!! Our old sportrak doesn't look to impressed though!!!! But that's an N reg and still going strong - only a clutch change on that.

    you're too kind!!! I saw that our dealer gives service cars a thorough soaking by letting them stand under a hose pipe for a few hours (cos you've gotta walk by/through it from the car park - wonder if the've had that happen to them. There was a freelander being truly soaked when I picked up mine.

    Hi all, first post and first (and hopefully not the last) freelander. Got me a late 2004 1.8 petrol :D Am I bovered? I had an alfa before :D !!! And I love it to bits - got a full years warrently left and will be renewing it before the next service. Had it a week and nothings fallen off or broke...
