One previous poster made the point about the props being balanced with the UJ bearings in one position. Is there any chance that when the UJs were replaced that they were reassembled 180 degrees about?? This would certainly change the balance harmonics of the prop :(

Yes each bearing has a crud flinger on both sides. The ones on the prop near the UJs recess inside the rubber bearing housing.

Just had my unit refurbed by Bell engineering. Before:- took 2 foot Stilton and big pull to only just turn it. After:- if you grip both shafts by hand they will just turn, very very slowly and viciously!:) They arranged pick up on a Friday and it was back home following Wednesday.

If you are a mechanic removal of the prop shaft, VCU and bearings will enable you to eliminate noises from the prop and rear diff. It only takes about 30 mins max to remove and you can still use the car in "eco" front wheel drive mode whilst you sort things out.

I tried the oven cleaner method to clean out all of the boost pipework but in the end white spirit and a paintbrush on a stick got the most gunge out. The bypass and clean up made a very noticeable improvement to performance.
