    Thank your for the reply, I think I may have to remove the timing cover after all. Wanted to avoid doing that as it's quite a messy job to remove the whole bottom section (Just changed the gear oil and filter a couple of weeks back). As for the dremmel type tool, I don't have that available...

    Tried the puller, but difficult to get enough leverage due to the cramped space. Was thinking of trying to cut it with an angle grinder. Or to take the whole casing cover off and try to knock it out from the back.
