One for the less mechanically capable (such as myself) this.... After suffering an absolute horror show with my MOT this time round, I was wondering what is the biggest garage bill someone on the forum has paid to get their landy through an MOT?

Just had the defender tested and it needs not one, but both front outriggers! I am no welder and don't happen to know anyone who can weld so I was just wanting to know how much this is going to set me back to get it done at a garage. It's a '94 300tdi by the way.....

Hi Stuart, I am also near Morpeth and have been out a few times locally to a few of the lanes featured in LRO earlier this year. Pretty much a novice though so would be quite interested if there was a group day organised locally. Cheers Scott

I have started to take the bolts off and have rounded 2 of them. I have no idea where to go from here, would heat be an option with it being the sump and there being oil all over it? Any ideas would be appreciated!
