I am thinking of changing cos the GEMS is knackered and quoted approx 6k to replace with recon unit.
2. I may be able to get a donor vehicle with a THOR engine.
3. Seems a great pity to scrap a pretty good P38 but 6k is a lot of money

I am not looking for one but one is available locally. I have two P38s one needs new engine for emissions and other needs head gasket and I am suffering withdrawal symptoms
I dont think is head gasket, more likely I think to be burnt valve.
Decided to keep engine and rebuild engine myself. Will keep me occupied for a while but no rush.
No I dont know which cylinders and I do like the idea of fixing my engine as I know the history of the car but I could do with her back on the road.
I could always buy a wee run around tho

Well looks lie I am going to have to bite the bullet and fit a new engine.
Car is a 4.6 but have been offered a 4.0.
Any idea of how much I should offer.

Ok thank you I will have a wee look at the footwell connectors. See how they look first of all. It is a much younger car than my other one so they should be OK but I will try and have a look today and check the connectors from the sensors too as I believe they dont go via the footwell?

The lights say she was at height but patently wasnt at the back.
Adjusted settings until both level but faulted cos too high target count so turned them down a wee bit.
