Yeah td5tool that's the kind of thing I keep getting in search results. I also found hydraulic puller/press type tools as well.
Like you found out, the adaptors in the set aren't the correct size and you made your own with scaffy tubing.
I reckon I'll buy one of those ball joint puller kits...

I changed the gearbox oil in my manual TD5.
What a difference!! Smooth gear changes and it no longer holds on the gears after a long drive.
I'd recommend anyone do this simple job.

So far it's had a full service including diff and box oils. New water pump, new sump gasket, new cam shaft oil seal, egr blank and new MAF.

I have the same problem. N/S rear brake shoes binding with the drum after applying the handbrake and car has sat overnight. Also have a grinding noise coming from underside somewhere, I think it might be a wheel bearing unless it is connected with this brake fault. Any ideas oh...
