As has already been said, My choice would be a half decent 300tdi, plenty to choose from on Ebay, but take someone who knows what they're looking at. You should get something half decent for 1k then spend the rest on fixing it up, that way you'll know its right and you'll get to know it...

Sounds worse than it is I think. You won't have to remove the body from the chassis, it just needs a bit of welding in the usual places, wheel arches and sills around the body mounts. As someone has already asked, what is the boot floor like?

No, it does it in all gears, its just more noticeable in 3rd.

I understand that, I guess I'm just peed off that as a result of them selling me a Faulty clutch, I have to pay labour costs again to get it replaced..

I would normally agree, but if they admit that the clutch was faulty when purchased, ie a manufacturing or materials fault then, surely they should be liable for any costs incurred as a result. I'm not going to pursue this but was just wondering how others might see it.

Well the rest of the panels arrived today, so I decided to get stuck in, I cut off the bolts that hold the seatbelts in so will have to deal with them later. I drilled out the spot welds of the door trim edge and cut the right hand skirt to the right shape, then welded in the new crossmember...

I can see it now, its not the best pic but it looks like the metal plate/strap that partly holds your fuel tank in. You might want to consider replacing it!
