thanks fore the responce, im glad to say with a new day, i have fitted the tow bar i had, must have been one of those days, the bottom bars were fitted the wrong way round when i recieved it. thanks again for the support Peter

Dont seem to be able to find a tow bar that fits my land rover disco 300tdi 1996 at the moment, picked up one that i was told would fit but it does not ( not happy) ..... any one out there near me ( Tamworth Staff's ) got one they want to sell.. i am willing to pick up!!! if its not too far...

Hi does anyone have a solution to an ABS sensor that keeps needing tapping back in, other than replacing it.. I have been told you can replace a bush but im not convinced that will do the job or how easy it is to replace??? any comments would be appriciated Peter

Thanks for the reply... I have just tapped all 4 in now. it seems to have cleared the problem but will monitor... If you know a local guy that could help if i need it i would be greatful for some contact details.. many thanks Peter

Hi. haveing just tapped in the front near side sensor ... the light fault has now cleared !!!! But after i drove it for about 10 miles i now seem to have an other possible problem , when you are about to stop the ABS cuts in for the last few feet, can any one tell me if they have had this and...

thanks for the reply... how easy is it to remove the sensor? and when tapping the sensor back in how do you know when its in correctly? is it just a matter of tapping until it stops? do i need to have someone clear the fault with a computer? sorry im not a mechanic and i am a little unsure... I know there is a lot of info for this, but one comment i have seen is to hammer the sensors in!! is there a method to this to make sure they are in the correct position or do the fittings determin the correct position and you just tap them until they stop moving. hope this makes sence Peter

mornin all..... After a new rear floor and lots of other welding (inner wings & rear arches replaced) repaired the immobiliser, Cam belt replaced, the list goes on...... I have a question .. ABS, plenty of info on this but can anyone tell me how do you know when " hammering in the sensors"...
