Anyway, thanks for your advice on what to do. I'll try and have me wits about me next time I fill up...

    vegetable oil??

To be honest it's probably easier than trying to dispose of it. I've got two 20l jerry cans so that's not a problem. And 1 can (of 30% mix) per tank works out at 10% mix per tank.

    Insurance Question

I got a good deal with Lancaster. Will find out how good they are soon, as I'm sorting out a claim after a LHD artic cut me up. One body shop (large co also happens to be a Landy dealer) has quoted £4000 for the repairs...

    Propshaft - and UJ

Sorted. No thanks to Paddocks who didn't read my delivery instructions and so I had to get a taxi to the post office, and who also sent me a 'Hardy Spicer' UJ which has 'GMB Japan' on it. Had to assist the UJ caps in with a hammer - was very wary about the needle bearings falling out when...

    vegetable oil??

I've got a siphon somewhere (or I'll use a tube and me mouth...) so will be easy enough to do that. And the fuel filter ought to be done anyway. Anyone want 50 litres of best quality diesel/petrol mix?

    vegetable oil??

While on a similar subject - if some eejit (OK, it was me) puts unleaded in the tank instead of diesel what are the long term consequences? I practically ran dry before putting it in so it ran for about 40 miles on unleaded before it twigged why there was a shortage of power. At that point i...

Top 5 things you must do

Not sure how attractive landies are to thieves actually. I've never had any problems with mine - even when I've accidentally left the windows fully wound down for days on end. What do you want to do with it? Drive around the streets? Off-roading? Overlanding? Work?

    Roof

I quite often stand on the roof of my 110 for taking photography (landscapes etc). But doing that does obviously damage the roof (OK the car has quite a few dignity dents already, but I don't want to actually fall through the roof). What's the best way of strengthening it? i know some of you...

    One born every minute?

Not sure how wide the rear door is - you may not get your 'large object' in. A 90 (90" wheelbase) mat actually work - you can get fold down seats in the back. But you prob do need a 110. A stationwagon is one with 5 doors and windows (like and estate car), a hard-top has 3 doors and no...

    Oil and the kerb...

Carefully designing components to leak (and they are obviously carefully designed that way) has three main advantages: 1. Stops chassis from rusting 2. Tells you when it's running dry (ie I start worrying when it doesn't leak oil) 3. So you have a histpric record of exactly where you have...

About the same time as money's been haemoraging from bank account... Anyways, there's been a lot of noise coming from under the landy...
