take it off and leave it in the boot, traffic after a run is the problem, whilst moving alls good.
It you get in a situation you need it just spin it on. Ran my td5 90 for 6 months without it. under around 13 deg ambient

there a landrover! all have issues!!
pre 08 mdels you can blank off the EGRs. The gearboxes (autos) are starting to have issues on 100K+ and they leak just like a D2.
I'd have one for towing, better gearbox but no for economics

there are some holes where the bell housing bolts to the engine, if its out of there it could be the torque converter seal. It could be from the unions onto the cooler pipes or out of the gasket. Wipe it down, check again but all are iffy if left
