    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Ah. Thank you. It is fantastic to hear from you too. I may have inspired you when it came to your rebuild. But you helped me massively when I was on here. It honestly inspires me when I hear how much people enjoyed them. They say you don't know what you've got until it's gone, and truth be...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Thank you Mr Brown. Yes it is something that has always interested me. Wondering around for hours on end looking at every detail. Looking through documents 100s of years old, looking back on how things once was. I did it for a short while when I was about 18-19. Back then I didn't have a...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Thank you so much Gordon. I appreciate your kind words and thoughts. I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I always refused to go to doctors. I couldn't bring myself to do it. (it was probably the worst thing I could have done) I like you have suffered most of my adult life. I struggle to...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Thank you. Much the same as me then. I may well start a thread. I actually used to do and used to enjoy it. Nowadays I feel he's turned into a bit of a co*k womble.

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

It had been suggested to me I put this in anything goes. So maybe I will delete this and move it there. I don't know. I will also try and attach some photos later. It appears most are too large to attach direct.

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Continued.. Throughout the rest of the year I met up with a couple of other people to explore places. But the next highlight for me was.. New Years eve 2018/19 Ive never really been one for celebrating it before. But this was something different. There was a little meet up organised. So I...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Afternoon chaps, Thank you so much, it is pretty humbling to hear people are wondering how I am. So how am I? I am great thank you. I hope all you chaps are doing great too? So where have I been? What have I been up to.. To be honest, when I last posted here I was crashing hard. I wasn't in a...

    Hammerite paint

Corroless paint products are good, and I have also used Rustoleum Combi-colour quite a lot in my previous rebuilds with good results.

Need a new 110 rear crossmember, but whose?

If blacksheep are no more, I would be going to Dixon fabrication, they do a similar HD style crossmember.

    Repainting a 110 fuel tank.

I tend to use Corroless S as a primer on my stuff and have had good results, for a top coat the choice is yours, but I have used Rustoleum combi-colour a lot on my projects, again with good results and at a reasonable cost.

    How's AM?

Thank-you for the replys chaps, I guess I will be back sooner or later, when work calms down a little, or if it does, always manic at the moment, and with the amount of work we're supposed to have coming up next year I guess that may end up the same way. Was pretty chuffed with how the garage...

    How's AM?

For those interested here is a few pictures of the shed build. Thoroughly enjoyed building it, just a lot of hard work doing everything on your own. Even managed to swindle an old meter off a job. Well I always get the finger pointed at me for 'using all the electric' o_O Time to...

    How's AM?

Hello chaps, not to worry, all is good at the mill, and I hope you chaps are keeping well too? I have just been somewhat busy for the last few months. To give you an update, I finished the garage itself mid July, but then spent a further 2 months moving stuff in, removing the old garage and...

    110 defender engine search

Paul Is right, I have previously done it, my advice would be to join the Cummins Landrover group on facebook. Their is lots of good people and advice on their, including the chap behind the kits available, Reece. Gearbox choices you have 2 really, the zf s5 42 or the spicer. Of the two the zf is...

    110 galvanised chassis time

I hadn't even heard of Shielder Chassis, the main two suppliers are Marslands and Richards chassis' You hear good and bad about both, but I have heard more bad about Richards than Marslands of late. That said I have used Richards myself several times and haven't encountered any problems, always...

Galvanizing bulkhead - tips and tricks

As Al203 has said, I have had a couple done now, I don't use any bracing at all to stop it warping and they have fitted with zero issues thus far. Warping on top of the footwells is the most I have had. I use Worksop galvanising generally, miles away from you but are part of the Wedge group...

    Can anyone identify these?

Not sure what the top two pieces are, but the bottom one looks like the carpet/mat retainer that screws to the underside of the dash using the same fixing screws. I pushes up behind it before being fully tightened. Well that's my only guess anyhow.
