yup all nipped up - cleaned it with gunk then went for a drive , bottom half of the engine (and on to the top of the diff ) covered in fuel, looks like its from the underside of the lift pump area... the disco drives ok though so bit confused - can the lift pump leek but it drive ok?

yup it seems quite tight - i thin kthe best bet is to remove it all and add new bits , perhaps a jubilee clip behind the nut to ensure its not leeking ?

hum no were seems to stock the fuel pipe down from the filter - anyone able to help? i think this may be the point were its leaking in to the lift pump - ive got no issues with driving so not to keen on changing the lift pump as i have no problems

the leak off pipes were all the cause of my last leek... i think i will replace the lift pump and hope its just that !

having just gone to have a look the top pipe of the lift pump looks ok but the bottom one is a bit manky.... is it worth replacing the lift pump and that pipe ? any ideas on the part numbers for the pipe that goes from here to the filter? i cant see to find one online for sale

i opened the bonnet today as there was a smell of fuel (and mpg has been bad) ive had a few 'spots' under the car when i park for a while but always thought it was oil -ts actually been caused buy a small leek from somewere dripping down the oil filter, i now think this may have been fuel, the...

yipee finally got the bulb out ! thanks for the help and the part number, any idea what the part number is for the bulb behind the instrament cluster ? also the 12v socket ? thanks !

good idea will try that , problem is it looks like the whole bulb and holder has been pushed back in to the dash ? perhaps by someone else trying to fix it :( im not sure how easy it is to remove the whole unit ?

well i got the heater controls off but how on earth do you get the bulb out ? it seems to be pushed back as well so im worried about loosing it down the back of the dash! any ideas ?

Thanks , well ill get an RTC3635 for the controls , it seems the only light working is one light on the top right hand corner of the cluster ,

ah so take them out then go hunting ! good idea, will also clean up the connections and check the earth is ok,

should add mine is a 300tdi discovery

Thanks chaps - fuse 8 ! you guys are good :) i swear id checked that... it would seem i now only have one ' bulb ' on though.. there is no light on the controls (ive never had that working though to be fair... ) and now the other one on the other side of the instrument pannel is blown, is it a...

ive never seen one anywhere on mine ? so will check the fuses one by one , if not is it easy to get to the bulbs and test them ?

best get a manual ! also have no idea how to do a continuity check :(sorry bit of a numpty ! i can just about change a fuse...

The dash lights seem to have 'gone out ' i cant see any fuses have gone , but dont specificity know which fuse it should be either... any ideas ? ive never had any centre dash lights ( the heater controls etc ) and just the main dash dials but they now seem to have gone out !

also could not be drawing fuel up enough , i had a similar problem needed a new sedimenter at the back !

thanks ill go to wickes , i think for the hassel ill put another support bar in the middle , i dont want to go to thick really for weight / price reasons ply is not cheap !
