eve all got a question ive rebuilt solinord on my td5 but now something is not letting the engine turn over if i use a socket on the bottom pulley going anticlockwise it will rotate ok but as soon as i try turning clockwise it will turn a bit and then becomes stuck solid any ideas why

Rest injector timing engine turns over fully on bottom pulley so im thinking i didnt time injectors up first time round Now charging battery up and wiĺ try again in the morning

Ok thanks for the reply ive now taken the fan /auxiliary belt of and i can now turn the engine clockwize the auxiliary tensioner bolt wont tighten as the threads are shot so i had to cut the belt of just wondering if the tensioner had anything to do with it not turning in the clockwize

Well loosing the will to live discovery2 is not completely turning over on the bottom pulley with socket its turning and then locks up any ideas

ok not getting any where with the discovery is it possible to swap ecu in to another discovery just to see if it will read in another discovery i know it wont probaly start but it might just eliminate or prove that my ecu is faulty or not only reason for asking is my mate has one and is near and...

yes the diagnostic tool can communicate with other ecus its not a cheap one it cost well over a grand and is used daily in a garage

thanks for reply pump can be heard running is there a fuse linked to the ecu if so where would this be located

battery drainning on my p38 ive replaced the battery on my p38 now when i leave it for a couple of days either locked or unlocked it will be flat as a witches tit this allso happens when i put the old battery on any ideas please

hi yea having same problem with my 1996 p38 now some one has written in the hand book before setting code turn key 4 times then take key out before entering code does this sound write or do you leave key in all the time

yea could not buy one today but ordered one from peter scott but iseperated the wires and used insulation tape poped it back and hey no more xmas lights now just got that srs light & abs light jacko12
