There is a small spring that breaks on the actual latch. Go along to a LR dealer and all they will do is sell you a new latch. There is a chap, sometimes has them on ebay and did advertise in LRE selling the springs for a few pounds - a little overpriced but far cheaper than a new latch. Paul
