Help! Oil in cooling system - Cracked block??

Weve checked the engine over, changed the head gasket. That was fine. the engine isnt over heating, so it hasnt been cooked. Flushed the cooling system and oil, there still seems to be oil in the water, whether this is remaining oil or theres still a problem, we're not too sure. Checking the...

Weve got a 200tdi engine, and when putting in a thermostat i found white sludge in the coolant that would seem to be oil in the coolant. There is also a film of water in the oil when i drained some from the sump. Weve had the head tested and its all fine, hasnt been warped at all. we're...

Completed 200Tdi, defender LT77 conversion, Keeping original Series 3 shape

Its an 88" But there custom made wide headed prop shafts, to get past the funny angle from the range rover diffs, and the lower transfer box

    Fitting an LT77 gearbox into a Series 3 with a 200Tdi engine

No probs :) We also have almost no space between the rad and engine, about 12mm or something stupid. So when we get a fan for it, its got to mounted in the front, between intercooler and rad! Tricky stuff lol Overall though, its been worth it, so far!

After 3 months finally we've managed to fit an LT77 5 speed box to our series 3 landy. Original shape is kept, as is the interior, so know one would know any wiser ;) with a Nice comfortable top speed of 85MPH It certainly a unique landy!

    Fitting an LT77 gearbox into a Series 3 with a 200Tdi engine

Cheers Paul, sounds like a plan. I assume its best left for a garage for the cutting and shutting? The old gearbox isnt a problem and still works, just tired of using an overdrive and its still fairly slow :s 5 gears is more econominal and less agricultural then the s111 box!!

    Fitting an LT77 gearbox into a Series 3 with a 200Tdi engine

We phoned up ashcrofts, they stopped doing the kits 8 years ago for the mounting conversion :confused2: which is a bit of a bugger. As ive range rover axels with CV joints, wont they last in permenent 4x4?
