I only did the drop links ... that only meant removing the wheels, nothing else :)

Thanks for the replies :) Got it sorted, changed the drop links and it's quiet now. Also did the oil and filter .. and the crank breather filter ... I'm finding it really interesting working on a car again :D Getting the alloys off was a real pig of a job though :eek:

Having driven it a bit more this weekend it sounds more like it's under the drivers seat area. I had a good look underneath and can't see anything wrong chassis wise. Have ordered a couple of drop links and will try swapping them ... :) Mike.

Hi guys, recently bought a 2002 TD4 and loving it .. except for a knocking noise when going over bumps in road. It sounds as if it's coming from the rear RH side. Nothing to do with the steering or diff though, I'm pretty sure. Any idea's ? Thanks, Mike.
