    Cheers Fanatic, LR are carrying out a NON intrusive survey on Monday..till someone can prove who or what caused the fire then the legal people can not advise as to course of action to take...moving back to mechanical not legal issues does anyone have any comments on the dealerships...

    very true .good forensic engineers cost about £1750 - £2000 for the report and even good ones will tell you thier is no gaurantee that the cause of the fire may be found...just fishing in the forum for "expert" mechanics who may be able to say if a turbo fails could that "drain" 4 litres of oil...

    thanks mhm, The problem with fire is the "match" is seldom found...just looking to see if the garage scenerio stands up....ie car taken for test drive..car then shows serious power issues (poss turbo failure) ..car returns to garage and has 4 litres of oil poured in then out for a second test...
