Hi I recently removed number 4 injector as it was leaking,I did this using a socket and damaged the wires:doh: which I had to rejoin after refitting the injector would the engine still run if I had connected them the wrong way :

Thanks for the reply, the pump in the tank is quite new as I was having problems starting that cured that problem, I never use the air con as I live in lancashire and its always cold and damp,it could be the F I P as you say as mine has done 170k , I know a guy that has diagnostic equipment does...

hi thanks for the reply however I changed the fluid and the filter about 6 months ago with the reccomended fluid,or maybe I have a gearbox problem.

I did my o/s/f a few weeks ago ,I just did the bearing ,I had to use a 25 ton press at my mates engineering shop and even with the full weight of the press we had to get it glowing red hot before it would budge ,I am fitting the complete hub when the other side goes:

has anyone found a cure for this problem ,I have changed the fuel filter and the engine sounds sweet idling around 750 to 800 rpm but when I engage drive or reverse the idle speed dips below 500 rpm and cuts out but not all the time,it does it warm or cold I have heard people complain of this...

I am liking this bio diesel more and more each day,I was getting smoke on start up on ordinary diesel especially when the engine was warm now that seems to have stopped.:):):)

well I have at last plucked up the courage to try bio diesel and I wish I had done it sooner,up to now mine seems to like it better than ordinary diesel,runs smoother and cleaner, designsap was right about the misserable bloke he only smiled once that was when I handed over the cash and he now...

It probably has been chipped as my mate says it has a lot more power than his last p38,as this is the first one I have driven I have nothing to compare against,think I will get the k+n though where is best place to buy one?

cheers for that I will give it a go that way,does anybody know if the bmw engine will run ok on it if its cleaned properly as I read once that it depends on the injection pump used?

I was told mine had been chipped when I bought it ,where is it situated so I can check?also is the k+n required as mine has the standard air filter box .:confused:

how can you test for ph and fat is there a kit available?

ok I will check it out,it seems like it depends what injection pump you have if your not sure call in to bury diesels the owner is called tommy,and there isnt much he doesnt know about diesels.

if you type bio fuel into the search this forum at top right of page there has been loads on the subject,where in the hills I am in littleborough not far from rawtenstall cheers tony.

take the blue aerial wire of the rf receiver before you buy a new one ,if the battery stays up then get a new one.as I said before it worked on mine thanks to this forum.

I just bought a battery for my p38 dse from carcraft rochdale for £55 ,so it pays to shop around ,seems daft to buy a full range rover for £50 and pay twice as much for a battery.

why not disconnect the aerial wire from the rf receiver it worked on mine thanks to info from datatek on this website, also have you had the alternator checked as although its charging correctly it could be draining back when switched off usually needs a diode replacing inside the alternator if...
