    They are brilliant, first time i saw them a friend had them, he said how good they were cos you only have to crimp it once then heat it up to shrinko_O he was absolutely amazed when i showed him how they were supposed to be used :D:D He's not the sharpest bless him:)

    Where are you wanting to remove carbon from? There's several carbon removal systems out for inlet and EGR systems on modern engines, some work some are laughable. One we have used (we have now made our own tool for the job) is media blasting of inlet ports/inlet valves on direct injection...

    Sorry but i don't see how a scissor type splitter can affect the ball joint socket. We use the scissor type but only to put some pressure on the taper the give the cast it a smack with a copper hammer (the bit the tapper goes through not the joint itself) or with a copper/brass drift and hammer...

    Weren't they steel/cast gears with fiber/nylon teeth on the cam gear? Seem to remember back in the day when changing the fuel pump care had to be taken not to screw the studs in to far as they would hit the gear teeth :) I think also it was the fiber/nylon part coming off that was the problem...

    tyre wear on both rear wheels

    How long have you owned it? if you've just bought it they may have been on the front and put on the rear because of the tyre wear. Ive seen cheep tyres do this for no apparent reason :eek:

    Disco 2 Auto gear box oil temp sender?

    Its a td5, excuse my ignorance whats NAS spec? There's no blank in the oil cooler already checked that and no sign of any spare wires hanging around.

    What he said ^ thats a common way to undo a stubborn crank bolt (not a recommended way but a common way) probable didn't do your torque wrench a lot of good either :oops:
