have bought exactly the same set today but 17" with near new tyres all round.michelin's... so replacing the standard 16" wheels...

I have just bought a set of the 17" alloys today with the michelin tyres all round,yet to fit them but upgrading as all my tyres are shot..on the 16" rims seemed like a cheap option ,yet to fit them

I have the MOT coming up on my freelander xdi in 2 weeks,unfortunally for me i need 4 NEW TYRES...i have the 16" wheels on it...Would it be cheaper to buy a set of fleabay maybe? I have seen some freelander2 (td4)wheels &tyres at pretty good prices...Wil they fit on my xdi ok? Iam looking around...

Cornering i getting an unusual noise...the tyres need replacing for the mot Still not decided which make to go for yet...

Hi russ at monet the vcu is off along with the shafts,as thought is was this but noise is still their,one rear wheel is tighter to spin than other with very slight noise when spinning...Iam getting some noise from the ird but thats another issue...

Today i managed to get BOTH my rear doors finally opened,i have trawled the net looking for solutions for days... but now the MOT is nigh! Took both door trims off from inside obviously and took the bar from the (back)of the outside pull handle to lever on lock and then just worked the lever...

well i will order one and strip it to see,worst case its the diff but the rebuild kit is only £65 so we can rebuild hopefully porviding i dont need any special tools How yours now have you cured it?

Jacked up the rear end this evening and there is a small amount of noise coming from passenger rear wheel,also the wheel is not as free to turn as the opposite side... maybe it is a bearing? even though their is no apparant play could this be? I think for the sake of £20 i may as well change...

*UPDATE* Today we have took the drive shaft off along with the centre large bit,one of the bearing is loose so iam replacing that at a later date.. So went out for a drive with just the 2wd..and the noise is still there,groaning away ,bloody thing... So my mate thinks its the diff? any...

So basically i just remove the large driveshaft and thats it... Dont i need to blank something off at the gearbox end?
