i have seen flanges on ebay. never done it tho. asked a mate the same question other day cus my rubber doughnut keeps breaking but he said just to change the diff. £25.00 for one from a breakers, scrap yard. i think you would need to take the diff off to change it anyways.

just drained the oil out and put the mix in using a silicone gun. easy fix.

just put one shot hub grease in there. it doesnt leek. in my hubs i just mixed greese and ep90 oil.

lol. i painted my offroad disco in nato green but my defender is my main vehicle and the paints getting tired. i dnt want anything thats to flashy but something a liitle lighter than nato. i like the original green mine was painted in but couldnt find the colour code anywhere. lee

if u have tightened the 3 nuts up too tight that could be why. you could of nackered the threads. if i remember correctly there only meant to be tightened to 42 lbs pressure on a torque wrench.

cus the amount of banging at the rear is unbelievable plus i got to drive 650 miles back home with 5 dogs in the boot aswell! for the sake of a fiver i may aswell do it. took me 1 hour to change today manage to get a pair of stilson on it.

i have a disco 300tdi es. its comfortable and reliable. my dad had a p38 2.5 and i spent atleast evry otherweekend fixing it. it was in very good condition for age (bodywork, interior) with a full service history and only one owner befor him but very very unreliable. bought for £2000 spent...

i would cut them of but i need too drive from burgundy to gloucestershire in 2 weeks. i would by new ones but breaking it as soon as i get home anyways putting the engine into my defender.

i have drenched them in wd40. i have managed to get some stilsons now so ill give them a go in the morning. thanks alot

thanks. but i dnt have stillsons only have mole grips and not quite big enough to grip the tube. very limited supply of tools at the moment until i get back to uk. ill try the nut on the bootom tomoz. thnx alot for reply

stupid qu but i am trying to chande rear bushes on shock absorbers and cannot get the bootom nut of the damper undone. the shocks bottom tube just keeps spinning round and dnt have alot of tools with me at the min. any advice would be much appreciated.

i dnt do the weldind a freind of mine dus dnt know the first thing about but but i gues that will all change soon! i know u cant weld steel to ally so is it ok to pop rivet?

yep thanks. not a problem got a welder and plenty of sheets of steel.

i owed my mate the engine and gearbox so hes having that from the 90. do the oil cooler and radiator pipes need messing with. the gearbox problem is the tunnel inside?

in the next three weeks i am returning to the uk where i have been given a 2.5 na 90. i am going to put my 300 tdi engine and auto box from my disco engine into it. are there any mods i need to make this happen. any replies are much appreciated

check the level when its cold idling and the level should drop. as for the black oil i had the same prob but never got to the bottom. i would change the oil and filters and check the transfer box at the same time.
