hi charlesY thats very kind of you mate unfortunately the ally bit that u put the timing pin in got broken trying to undo the bottom pulley.it is a 300tdi and luckily i only paid £40 for the second hand one. Thanks again Gavin

hi charlesY were can i locate the low pressure vane pump.I am in tring in hertfordshire. I have been getting advise from who ever will give it.I have took the plunger out.Picked up a second hand pump today but if i can exchange the vane pump i would rather do that

hi have now been advised it could be the injector pump as even when this is full of diesel it will not pump anything out.anyone know what sort of job I'm letting my self in for? Thanks Gavin

hi have checked the rockers,they are moving,removed the inspection cover at the end of the injector pump,pump seems to be turning.Have just towed it for about 2 miles but still no fuel at the injectors.

hi if it is the cam belt how much damage could it have done?

hi Richard have been turning it over with all the injector pipes off but no fuel will come up to the injectors Thanks Gavin

hi my discovery cut out whilst ticking over.found the lift pump to be not working.changed the lift pump bled fuel through to injector pump but cannot get it any further.have taken stop switch apart and bled through to top of injector pump but just will not go any further.

hi just put a new lift pump on my 200tdi discovery now can not get any fuel past the injector pump.any help would be most wellcome.Thanks
