seems like the tensioner arm mounted on the timing cover, not the pulley. Does that make sense?

Hi all. My 2.5 has developed a really high pitched squeal from the aux belt tensioner. There seems to be play in the pivot but i don't want to take it apart and have it fall to bits in my hand! Is there a bearing in there? What is the usual cause? Thanks in advance for the help! D

All, 1998 P38 2.5DT. Newish comprosser, air spring good. A few day ago the rear, particularly the left rear i think started dropping very fast, like seconds when the engine is turned off. Today the "35mph" warning appeared, presume due to overheahed compressor. Reset all faults, loads of them...

Revs cleanly even stone cold, just no power to pull away. Some power if you keep revs above 2000.

Hi. Only have my 98 2.5 p38 a coople of months but have most of it's problems sorted! What is really bothering me now is it's cold performace. First thing in the morning it just has NO power. Engine is perfectly smooth but it will hardly pull away, any sort of incline and you can forget about...

Like you considering chipping mine '98 DSE Manual. How slow is your when its cold? Mine wont even full itself up the slightest incline for about the first 10 mins!!! When warm its goes quite well. Anyone any idea what could be causing this? It cant be normal!!!!!?????
