I can get a carb balancer, is there any guides to setting the carbs up about?

Could it be the timing? As its had a new dizzy cap ect on it?

As far as i can see theres no other temp switches/sensors? And the airfilter is standard, what are the gubbins?

Yeah, i unscrewed the fast idle screws right out but it made no chaange so i put them back where they were, wouldd the temp switch make it run fast when warm?

Yeah i have the su carbs, i have checked the choke and throttle linkages and its all returning fully. It sounds like an air leak but its only starting when warmed up. I cant find any holes in the vacuum hoses, i have sprayed wd40 on the motor, no change. Very annoying!!!

Yep, checked the choke too, its a manual one, and when pulled out makes it rev a little higher for a moment then splutters and dies out

Just tryd that, no change, its strange that its fine for 5-10 mins then when it heats up its idling at over 2000rpm

Hi, i just picked up a nice like 1986 90 with a 3.5 carb v8 standard, the idle at cold is normal, but when it warms up it idles around 2000 rpm! Its had a new dizzy cap and leads ect, i have checked for air leaks in the vacuum hose, Any other ideas? Cheers

ok thanks, just seems a liitle weird it will just drop about 200rpm on idle and its sluggish when playing up, but then will come back normal, when i was driving in the dark the lights went bright and the engine sluggish then the lights went dull and the engine went normal. does it without the...

hi, recently my 300tdi has been suddenly loosing power the gains it back, also the rev counter is playing up, cutting off then cutting in again, same with the lights going dim then coming back again. could this be an alternator problem? cheers

just noticed the battery light is very dim with the ignition off but brightens up when turned on. but still doesnt explain why the fob isnt working either? is there anyway the alarm and immobiliser can be removed or dissabled altogether?

yeah i hope as i havent a clue why the lights are staying on?? cheers anyway though!

yeah, went out just now and tryd it nothing still. put the key in the ignition and the alarm went off!

i changed the battery twice for two new ones, still nothing, the dash lights still wont turn off and the immobiliser light is still flashing all with the ignition turned off and key out. cheers
