    Kinetic rope,

I think the USA ton is 2000 pounds, so that bit is right. And of course Americans don't understand kilogrammes.

    Wakey Wakey LZrs

"get the pride and joy in" - it's the 'in' that's the problem. When it lives on the street, in cold wet England, non-essential tinkering must wait till we see the sun again.

Oh yeah: Crisp winter and logging.

I used to collect wood for an elderly friend. He died a year ago, and I still look longingly at any logs I see, but they won't fit into my gas fire!

    Aging a series 3

If you look at the picture, Rattlegun's landy has larger round rear lights, with a clear section below. The black light like you have is additional on his.

    Series 3 Leagalities

The 'project vehicle' in the Haynes manual looks like a series 2 with lights added in the wings, not so neat as your example.

    LR S2A Steering relay oil

The earlier ones had a filler plug - why did they change? Was it supposed to be 'sealed for life'?

    SERIES ONE PRICE BUBBLE?

"i personally find any swb models generally too small for anything i want a landy for" well, they are good at going round corners in one attempt, unlike the LWB!

    Series seats

"if you use the solid round bonnet prop" that's the broomstick then?

    Today's little outing

"I'd quite like a shop selling old fashioned British Standard Whitworth taps and dies, but I doubt if I'd get many customers" I'd be one, so long as you had BA as well.

    Series 3 MY HEATER WORKS!

"I'm looking after my 8 year old grandson." - well small hands can be very useful for some of those fiddly jobs. Look on the positive side!
