Freezie went into the garage today for an MOT and I requested they have a look at what appears to be an oil leak that has been getting gradually worse over the last few weeks. The 1.8 Kalahari is 2003 model and the garage advised they couldn't see where the leak was coming from but expected it...

It's now running perfectly with the new battery.

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to post this and let you know I'll be back here if and when the fuel pump goes. I think what happened was when the car went in the garage on Monday to have the rear door latch and a weld on the exhaust and the mechanic didn't tighten the negative...

AA out and new battery required..

It is labour intensive for a mechanic to fix?

Sorry what a terribly worded starting thread by me. Freezie (nickname for our Freelander) went into the garage to get a new back door latch on Monday. Was fine on Tuesday, Wednesday then this morning took three attempts to get engine running. No previous signs that this was going to happen...

Freelander 1.8 Kalahari 2003 petrol cuts out 1 or 2 seconds after starting. Not if I'm covered for AA home start. Anyone experienced this kind problem before?

I keep my eye on the coolant weekly and top it up regularly.

Our 2003 1.8 Kalahari has an odd water flushing around the engine when the engine is first switched on. This has been happening for a few weeks now. Lately however this water flushing around the engine appears to be continuing when driving. Anyway have any idea's whats going on?

Located it. What exactly am I checking for? Sorry complete noob sometimes.. Is it as simple as swapping it with one of the other ones to see if it's working?

When the Mrs puts on her main beam the dips go out. When we hold the main back both dips and main beam stay on. Can anyone give any indication as to why the dips are going out when the switch is pushed forward to put on main beam?

As we have a new born baby I'm looking for side window shades (blinds) for my partners 3 door Freelander 1.8 Kalahari. The standard shades in Halfords et al seem to be of squared shapement. The Freelander obviously has triangular shaped windows. Are these even available. Googled the arse out...

These are dangerous. I wouldn't use them on my babies car seat.
