    Relief! After the initial cranking while fuel pumped through the rails and the rattling as oil made it's way up to the rockers and tappets... after about 10 seconds when it all settled down and the sweet rumble of that V8... when the last of the spilt oil evaporated from the exhaust manifolds...

    Unfortunately the teeth are probably worn out on the arm and your only honest option is to replace it. If it was within tolerance, the BeCM would have caught it and given you an error/fault. Either pick up a cheap window arm unit off eBay or give the buyer a small discount on the purchase...

    EAS conundrum

    Here's a theory about the EAS dropping... One or more of your height sensors might be getting tired... i.e. the normal operating range of the potentiometer is worn and giving odd readings, causing the EAS to readjust. It doesn't do this on EAS high mode because that part of the potentiometer...
