    Clutch pedal solid

Hi Guys hope you can help. I have a '78 series 3, 2 & 1/4 petrol. It does very few miles and it has been sitting about 3 months since last driven a short way. Went to it today and the clutch pedal is solid in the 'up' position, it won't depress. I fitted a new master cylinder about 2 years ago...

    Little end knock

Ok - 1978 series 3, 2&1/4 petrol. I've had a knock on engine for a few years now (only do 500 miles or so each year), opinion suggested little end on no3. So eventually today stripped head off, sump off, pushed up no 3 piston and pushed it out. The gudgeon pin(? part no 265169)when inserted has...

    Charge light woes

Ok, recently became aware that charge light would only go out when bootfuls of revs applied. (Even then there was a very faint glow). Changed fan belt and checked tension - all ok. Wiggled leads around on back of alt. and generally had a look for any problem wires but couldn't see anything...

    Please be kind to me!

Well, I've had my 1978 88" 2 1/4 petrol Series 3 for about 16 months now and have only recently had time to commence to attend to the many oil leaks, hub seals, brakes, and general maintenence etc. Only done 900 miles in it so it's not really been an issue for me. Until now, as I've never done...

    Overdrive gearlever problems

I've got a 78 series 3 with Fairey overdrive fitted. The overdrive selector has usually popped out of 'deselected' into neutral when I've gone into reverse gear - never really been a problem to me. Now it's increasingly popping out when I'm in 1st and even 2nd (not all the time though). Anybody...

    How can it be?

Today checked and topped up gearbox, transfer box and overdrive oil. Then to axles. Now can someone tell me how, if the correct level when topping up axles is until 'oil dribbles out', when i remove filler plug i can have a veritable torrent pouring out? How did that much oil get in there in the...
