    P38 4.6 Overheating AGAIN

It would appear that there is coolant in the oil again. No doubt there is some sort of crack or slipped liner which wasnt detected. I've sourced a brand new block with new pistons and crank for good measure.

    Check out my figures

Do all P38 V8's have a 100 litre tank? I've never put 100 litres in mine and I've filled it up from Empty, i.e. light on

    P38 4.6 Overheating AGAIN

And one other thing that I did noticed was a drip in the passengers footwell. On getting the vehicle back after the rebuild, a passenger said to me water was dripping on her foot. I assumed that it was a blocked A/C drain as when the A/C was off it "appeared" to stop not long after, the water...

    P38 4.6 Overheating AGAIN

    P38 4.6 Overheating AGAIN

I've had a P38 a little while. Earlier this year on a trip to London it would overheat after pulling away from Lights in traffic. On the way back to Wales it stayed steady in the middle position. A couple of days later it over heated and I thought I'd try the Thermostat. Replaced it and...

your opinions of the p38 RR handling

Get one of the EAS leads from ebay and configure the EAS to be lower in the motorway mode. It will wont roll as much as its already low. You will be suprised how long you can make it go before you're hitting the bump stops

    the best oil???

As for oil change periods, I have to agree on 5000 miles tops. That is if you want to thing to last. I've got a car that has a manufacturer recommended oil change interval of 6000 miles, and many change their every 3000 miles. It makes a difference. For the price of some oil, these days...

    the best oil???

I think the message in this thread is a little off putting to a lot of people. Fair enough saying dont put in FS oil, but at least explain why. Its not a simple mark up, the stuff is very different from mineral oil. I would have thought the Viscosity of the oil is far more important...

What Height Setting For Normal Driving P38

Just make sure you're on flat ground when you do start ajusting it I did have a chat with Storey Wilson the chap that made the software about his improved height sensors I might build them and add them to mine (he'll give you a parts list) then you can increase the height even further

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

Yer, I might as well replace the driver door window I'm thinking anyway. Its gone a bit slow recently when opening and closing, so can prob do with an overhall. I'll have to double check the code with strastone before I start, as I dont want a smashed wanted and a deadlocked car lol...

What Height Setting For Normal Driving P38

Well you might as well just keep it in motorway mode. On mine at least you can select motorway mode if you have the button that looks like a flat tyre pressed As for altering the EAS ECU using that software, I've done it and lowered the motorway mode slightly and increased the height of...

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

I wasnt able to do it until today, however I disconnected the battery as suggsted and left it of for 30 minutes. On reconnecting I tried the suggestions of opening the doors quickly, and tried opening them as the power was connected. No joy Nor does it open using either key still I...

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

Well for about £80 I can get 4 skates, im close to the exit of the car park and its all flat, its just the matter of getting out of where its parked. So if the battery doesnt work, I'll do that and get the AA out, lets hope it doesnt fall into cardiff bay on route lol

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

I pressed the key fob to lock it and thought I didnt lock it and turned around and pressed it again Last time I used to door lock was about a month ago They have some skates at machine mart for a fair price, I could use those and then let the AA do the rest. OK on the...

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

The car park is on group level, but I have a corner spot with a wall opposite me, thus I have to reverse it in. And there are posts either side of it, which prevent it being moved any way but straight. Which is impossible. I could get some car skates which would probably work, the hand brake...

Range Rover Deadlocked and Lock Broken

They key fob does nothing, neither of them do. Which made me think it was the flat battery, the battery is however fine and I can see the light flashing on the dash too. I've triped pulling up the locks using a metal bar from outside, but even when up they dont allow me to open the doors...
