i did have a split vacuum hose and i am sure that it was causing me issues, thanks for the heads up on the MAP. the landy has been sat on the drive while i wait for the time to get busy again (and the weather!) but fuel filter and MAP are two good places to get going on. I will post results...

arch pump seems strong, and had been replaced at about 105k (preventative) fuel filter was at the same time. hoses all look good (and at least two of them are new!) fuel filter tomorrow then?

Have you tried a carpet cleaner attachment hose. I have a bash at mine every 6 months or so. The colour of the water you draw back out is shocking. Then again, I dont drive in pants/trousers, you gotta expect a bit of staining.

I have always found that the Freebie has a strong clutchspring. It has not changed in 3 years. I find that if you are waiting about pull her out of gear and but the Hbrake on. Or get yerself down to the gym and build up them legs. Billy g

i had the same issue wih mine. I think that the best bet is the fuel rail pressure sensor and overlay harness. i had it when it was surgeing idle, **** starting from cold. It was still fine to drive though. Fuel rail sensor and harness was the last of a long line of parts...
