Thanks guys I appreciate the responses. I think for my purposes i'm going to opt for the 300. At least neither of the two have the complicated electronics etc and most bush mechanics can get around them without too much confusion. Is it fair to say the 200 is the more economical engine?

I'm planning on buying a Discovery to use as an expedition vehicle from the UK to SA. From a motor reliability aspect as well as which of the 2 motors is the eisier to work on/repair in Africa? Any input will be appreciated.
