    Disco 2 ES MOT Repairs

is that "wipers swept area" right for a fail? one of ours has one of those stone damage marks within the swept area but not right in the drivers straight ahead view, it was on the car when I got it in '03 and it has passed mots every year (failed first time on some things but not the screen)...

    vin No

have you got anything with the vin number on it like an old mot? or has the po told you what it should be sometimes the stamp can be hard to find say if the chassis has been painted a few times

How long is it acceptable to wait for a paint job!

can you still eat them when they are painted? :D I think one can put up with a few weeks wait, months is not acceptable, if you have to keep someone waiting that long you shouldn't be agreeing to do the work

    Air compressors

at that price its a done deal imho, same size as mine - though mine is a Clarke - 100l 14.5 cfm 3hp. its fine for spraying, I need a better gun though mine is a few years old and I paid around that just for the compressor

Series 3 Wiring in cigarette lighter socket for sat nav.

the bestek one I have has an on off switch so its fine as long as you remember to turn it off of course :D but I do agree an ignition on live would be better, although with a permanent live I can pull out the multi-socket from the single socket to use a solar charger
