Had same problem with my old engine got new turbo off ebay £70 ran ok still did when i swaped it for 300tdi

:D:D:D thank you to boydy1989 all now going well and moving forward should have a defender 90 300tdi by the weekend would advise anyone putting a 300tdi into a old defender to look at boydy1989s breakdown will save loads of time and heartache again many thanks:D:D:D:D:D:D
