Thanks for your replies guys, think i'll be removing the whole thing, might as well, just one more question though. In some posts they refer to vaccum pipes attated to the egr valve, and needing to block them off, do you need a particular kit to do this as well?

Having looked at various post on here, I am wondering what is the best way to blank the egr valve on a td5 on an 03 plate - either just fit the blanking plate and leave it in place, or remove it completely? does the electrics and pipe work need to be disconnected from this?hopefully im aiming to...
